“Gesù capì che volevano interrogarlo e disse loro: «State indagando tra voi perché ho detto: “Un poco e non mi vedrete; un poco ancora e mi vedrete”? In verità, in verità io vi dico: voi piangerete e gemerete, ma il mondo si rallegrerà. Voi sarete nella tristezza, ma la vostra tristezza si cambierà in gioia».” (Giovanni 16,16-2.

Il pensiero di Gesù viene svelato nell’Evangelo di Giovanni con una certa progressività. Passo passo Gesù accompagna i suoi discepoli alla scoperta dell’essenza del fede nel Signore.

Oggi colpisce anche noi l’affermazione di Gesù: “un poco ancora ...”. Non è una frase misteriosa. Gesù ci trasmette la traccia per cogliere il senso della sua presenza e anche della sua assenza.

Il vedere e il non vedere é la prospettiva di fondo della presenza dello Spirito Santo che accompagna e accompagnerà il cammino di ogni credente.

Quel “un poco ancora ...” é cogliere l’impercettibile di una presenza.

Gesù racconta anche il fatto che oltre al vedere e al non vedere, i discepoli saranno chiamati a piangere, a essere tristi, ma tutto questo si tramuterà in gioia.

È la presenza dello Spirito Santo che Gesù svela a noi. Ed é la forza dello Spirito che trasforma la nostra vita, che dà senso, che incrocia le vie del mistero.
